What we need:

 

Perform various functions in support of warehouse operation, including shipping, loading, moving products, and delivery of flooring products. Position requires multiple skills and extensive knowledge of warehouse functions and operation.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Operate all banding and wrapping machines within assigned facility
  • Operate Glad Hand Locks to lock trailers
  • Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations, or trailers
  • Operate vinyl and carpet cut tables in assigned facility
  • Perform cycle counts and other inventory control functions
  • Operate AS400 Plan Loader to receive trucks, open and close truck doors.
  • May be required to develop routes for local truck driver deliveries when routing system is down
  • Handle and coordinate floor sample materials assigned to facility
  • May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

 

What you have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Lift Truck Certification preferred
  • Successful completion of all required on the job training
  • Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
  • May be required to use department specific database systems such as: AS400
  • Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction
  • At least 6 months experience in a warehouse position

  • Correctly operate the hand-held scanning device
  • Operate banding and wrapping machines in assigned facility
  • Operate vinyl and carpet cut tables

 

What else:

 

  • May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment
  • Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures
