Program Overview

Each intern is presented a real business challenge within their group that provides the opportunity to exchange ideas with subject matter experts for optimal learning and development that leads to real solutions. At the end of the summer, our interns get together to showcase their awesome accomplishments during an event we call the “Intern Expo”. But we aren’t ALL business - throughout the summer, our University Relations team hosts exclusive events such as featured executive lunch & learns, plant tours, personal & professional development sessions and intern socials.


Your Role

The Cybersecurity Software Developer Intern within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for configuring and maintaining SailPoint IIQ, our enterprise Identity Security platform. Responsibilities include integrating and developing direct connectors in enterprise applications (SAP, SuccessFactors, etc.) and promoting finalized code into the production environment for ongoing maintenance. This role is also responsible for assisting with the configuration and automation of IAM processes to simplify, streamline and standardize client interaction and improve end-user experience.  

(This position will work at our Nashville location.)


What You Will Do

  • Knowledge of the following programming languages: Java, BeanShell/JavaScript
  • Knowledge of the following web technologies: XML, XHTML, Web and Application Servers, RestAPI
  • Experience setting up and installing software on both Windows and Unix (Linux, Sun, HP, AIX) platforms.
  • Knowledge of Apache Tomcat and Code Repository
  • Familiarity with Databases (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience with Directories (LDAP, AD).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality and resolve production issues
  • Proven ability to work independently or in conjunction with a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication
  • Provide documentation for repeatable processes including technical documentation and development of SOPs




  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Automating manual and semi-automatic processes via scripting language such as PowerShell
  • Working knowledge of platform provisioning (groups/roles/accounts/permissions)
  • Experience with C/C++, .NET, C#, PL/SQL
  • Documentation and communication skills
  • Able to maintain living documentation
  • Explain technologies in a non-technical manner
  • Help to develop policy and procedure
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA
  • Completed freshman year of courses
