Primary Objective:  Sets up and operates press production lines. Operates various automated industrial machinery components in the manufacturing of Direct Pressure Laminate Flooring Panels.



Major Functions and Scope:  Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.



  • Complies with all safety rules and procedures
  • Responsible for startup and operation of a highly automated short-cycle Press Production Line 
  • Identifies and troubleshoots routine quality and process issues.
  • Follows reaction plans, identifies root cause of issues, and makes required adjustments to processes to resolve.
  • Performs quality inspection and testing on finished product; including 100% visual inspection on product that is set out for testing to identify any defects, and uses master sample to ensure correct product is being run
  • Visually inspects panels and marks each defect found to ensure that it gets rejected at the finish line
  • Executes and assumes responsibility for product changeovers on the press line using standard work documents
  • Implements controls and procedures so that the end-product is produced to established quality standards
  • Conducts shift audits of the line safeties and operations. Reports all issues identified as “non-conforming”.
  • Conducts weekly line TPM/cleaning as required
  • Responsible for executing the daily production schedule. Tracks and reports all downtime events.
  • Reports machine uptime and scrap.
  • Records daily material consumption and PLQ using SFC software
  • Powered Industrial Truck Operation as needed, to load and unload raw and finished materials when needed
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management


Education and Knowledge: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification




  • 1-3 years of forklift experience
  • 2+ years of personal computer experience
  • 2+ years of technical or machine operation experience in a high demand environment



  • Basic computer skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude/Machine operation knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
