Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position. |
- Install and maintain Electrical Equipment. Must be capable of troubleshooting Siemens Products including but not limited to PLC’s, Inverters, Servo Systems, temperature control loops. Various pieces of instrumentation for process control i.e. Level devices, pressure devices and Thermocouples.
Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate. |
- Receive assignments from Maintenance Supervision and or Departmental Supervisors
- Troubleshooting equipment and building facilities electrical systems.
- Resolve issues in a safe timely manner, always completing work to NEC.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems and Inverter related issues.
- Must be able to program and modify parameters in Inverters and other process related equipment as per Supervisory Instruction.
- Must fill out job reports, calibration reports as tests are made.
- Must perform and report PM schedules.
- Must work with all maintenance personnel on projects or otherwise to keep equipment operational.
- Must be able to use electrical test equipment DMM, Ammeter and Megger meter.
- Train other technicians to perform maintenance activities within the limit of their capabilities as needed.

- Must have a High school diploma or higher
- At least 5 years experience in an industrial environment
- Must be able to read and interpret Electrical schematics.
- Must be able to modify schematics as changes are made to existing equipment.
- Must be able to program and modify parameters in Inverters and other process related equipment as per Supervisory Instruction.
- Must be able to work with outside OEM Technicians and learn systems from them.
- Must be able and willing to participate in specific product training as required.
- Must be able to use electrical test equipment DMM, Ammeter and Megger meter.
