Primary Objective: 

Responsible for operating a manual packaging line to ensure 1st quality laminate flooring products and moldings while meeting or exceeding safety, quality, production, and customer satisfaction goals.

Major Function and Scope:

  • Complies with all company safety rules and procedures
  • Performs duties using proper housekeeping and safe work practices
  • Using repetitive hand motions, build boxes around laminate flooring planks at the assigned speed in an orderly fashion.
  • Required to climb ladder to pull products. Up to 7 feet high
  • Picks order to push carts using the CMAS system at the assigned speed (100LPH) in an orderly fashion.
  • Performs 100% audit for each piece to verify the correct SKU.
  • Utilizes proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects.
  • Maintains attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards.
  • Replenishes and stages packing line materials (boxes, pieces, tape and hex comb).
  • Utilizes computer to complete orders and create labels in CAMS.
  • Shrink wraps and palletizes finished packaged product.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

 

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications:

  • Previous experience in a manual manufacturing production environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and write numbers.

Competencies: 

  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (counting, addition and subtraction).
  • Strong team player and the ability to get along with coworkers.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Manual dexterity, mechanical skills, and judgement skills.
  • Pays attention to details.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

 

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, bend and twist frequently.
  • Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balance.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds continuously throughout a 8-12 hour shift.
