Primary Objective:

Oversees receiving and inventory controls of raw materials and packaging materials used throughout manufacturing process.

Major Function and Scope:

Accurately monitors inventory records, processes, and programs for Materials Team.

Utilizes information systems to confirm receiving and inventory control schedules, and allocate resources as needed.

Coordinates with Planning Team and suppliers to optimize inbound flow.

Monitors discrepancies between usage and inventory level reporting, and works with Inventory Controllers to resolve.

Trains personnel in all new receiving/inventory related jobs.

Coordinates audits completed by internal and external audit teams.

Participates in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost reduction and Process Improvement initiatives.

Assist in developing SOP’s and JSA’s for all receiving and inventory related tasks.

Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.

Follow all established standard operating procedures.

Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.

Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Experience and Knowledge:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

3 years of inventory control experience required, with experience in manufacturing preferred.

1+ years of experience leading a team, including training, preferred.

Computer literacy required, experience in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Knowledge of warehouse management systems required.

Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:

This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.

Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
