Primary Objective: 

 

Oversees receiving and inventory controls of raw materials and packaging materials used throughout manufacturing process. 

 

Major Function and Scope: 

 

  • Accurately monitors inventory records, processes, and programs for Materials Team. 

  • Utilizes information systems to confirm receiving and inventory control schedules, and allocate resources as needed. 

  • Coordinates with Planning Team and suppliers to optimize inbound flow. 

  • Monitors discrepancies between usage and inventory level reporting, and works with Inventory Controllers to resolve. 

  • Trains personnel in all new receiving/inventory related jobs. 

  • Coordinates audits completed by internal and external audit teams. 

  • Participates in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost reduction and Process Improvement initiatives. 

  • Assist in developing SOP’s and JSA’s for all receiving and inventory related tasks. 

  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision. 

  • Follow all established standard operating procedures. 

  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary. 

  • Perform other tasks assigned by management. 

 

Experience and Knowledge:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

  • 3 years of inventory control experience required, with experience in manufacturing preferred. 

  • 1+ years of experience leading a team, including training, preferred. 

  • Computer literacy required, experience in Microsoft Office Suite preferred. 

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems required. 

  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

 

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:   

  

  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.   

  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.  

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
