What we need:
The Technical Services Project Specialist is an established contributor that coordinates and manages successful projects from concept through completion and ensures that projects are installed correctly, on time, within budget, and to the customer’s complete satisfaction. This role will be responsible for helping to coordinate technical service projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
What you’ll do:
- Work on multiple commercial projects of various sizes.
- Maintain an understanding of all project document requirements including contract, field measurements, blueprints, product knowledge, project specifications, and material coordination.
- Coordinate projects, communicate changes and progress, and complete projects on time and within budget. Anticipate delays or project changes and communicate and respond to those as needed. Issue installation service agreements and facilitate payment of installer labor invoices for projects. Reconcile project, and request/facilitate project invoicing of customers.
- Effectively manage blanket inventory process for designated accounts.
- Assist as needed in department/customer required reporting, tracking, presentations, and special projects.
- Assist as needed with keeping installation database up to date, including requests for contact data and insurance documents as well as signed master agreements.
- Provide a moderate level of technical advice and problem resolution for vendors and/or installers working with manufacturer products.
- Provide cross-functional support to major accounts and to other team members as needed and as assigned.
- Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
- Performs other duties as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Experience of commercial floor covering and/or installation experience preferred.
- Commercial Construction experience preferred.

- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
What else?
- Travel: 5-15% (dependent upon level of field experience and projects assigned).
