OBJECTIVE: 

 

Provides clerical and administrative support activities for the Customer Service area.  Functions as a communications link between Customers and Sales Representatives.  Provides general Customer Service for larger more accounts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Process Customer Purchase Orders and Change Orders. 
  • Answer Customer calls pertaining to orders and delegates to the appropriate Account Coordinator.
  • Handles larger and more complex accounts
  • Must be aware of the Customer requirements for each account.
  • Work with the Customer and Sales to resolve order issues and ensure that the Customer is satisfied with the result while keeping within the established guidelines and procedures.  Makes recommendations to Customers and Sales Representatives when there is an issue with an order.  May recommend either a different type, style of product or comes to makes alternative arrangements for delivery if necessary.
  • Produces set up sheets by working with Sales Representatives on orders
  • Runs established reports from the system and compiles information for daily Production meetings.  May present information at Production meetings.
  • Must be aware of any price and/or product changes
  • Completes set-up sheets
  • Tracks problems and issues with shipping and article changes.  Interacts with other areas of the company, i.e.  Sales, Distribution.
  • Maintain external systems that upload customer information and directly impact our customers' business.
  • Supervise Account Coordinators

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Customer Service required.
  • Basic computer skills required (MS Word, Excel, AS400)
  • Knowledge of Company products and brand information is preferred. In-depth knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to department activities.
  • General office experience required with exposure in a customer service environment preferred.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to supervise lower-level employees.
