Primary Objective:

The Business Manager is responsible for the growing sales and account management for the assigned national account(s).  Accountable for planning and achieving short and long-term objectives.  Will be working with senior sales leadership to established in the company’s Business Plan for assigned account(s).  The position requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude. The Business Manager provides all aspects of account management with the account and serves as the point of contact between Mohawk Home and the National Account Customer. This is a fairly entry-level sales/account management role, 1-5 years experience preferred.


Major Function & Scope:

  • Manage national account(s) ranging from $1 to $10MM.
  • All aspects of account management including sales, financial analysis, forecasting, relationship management, and corporate point of contact.
  • Continuously generate and maintain various reports for Mohawk and customers to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Continuously perform current market/competitive analysis to demonstrate expertise and build trust with the customer.
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to develop products, pricing, and profitability.
  • Partner with Marketing and Design to plan markets, shows, product launches, and promotions.
  • Effectively build and manage customer relationships and networks.
  • Perform various special projects as requested by the customer.


Type of Experience & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field required.
  • 1-5 years of sales related experience
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Related product knowledge
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exposure to forecasting analysis



  • Excellent sales presentation skills:  excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with senior management, internal and external business contacts.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Financial acumen for non-financial managers
  • Broad knowledge of the Company’s products/services and systems


Associate's Supervised: 1-5

Travel Required: within the local market and occasional to markets/shows
