What we need:
The National Account Manager – Home Centers works closely with the Home Center team to develop, manage, and support sales activities for Mohawk Accessories products at The Home Depot. The primary objective is to design, recommend and execute sales strategies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume and profitability for Mohawk. Set short and long-term sales strategies and tactics in conjunction with the team and Senior Division Management. Oversees assigned product portfolio with industry insights including product changes, economic shifts and competitive insights that influence the business while providing analysis to capitalize on opportunities.
What you'll do:
- Provides support to the VP of National Accounts to achieve annual and long-term sales goals and objectives related to accessories for the various Home Center customers
- Engages in implementation of long- and short-term strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals, including sales, margins, and profitability
- Work closely with internal teams to understand customer flooring changes & to manage correlating accessory program execution including molding product launches, product refreshes, assortment change, and other requests made by The Home Depot
- Evaluates effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies and programs and make recommendations regarding changes necessary to achieve target goals.
- Responsible for all Home Center report outs including executive summaries, forecasting, POS, and other reporting
- Performs SKU maintenance and new SKU set up in THD’s IDM system. Manages internal pricing and article master set ups.
- Work closely with The Home Depot merchandising team to understand flooring assortment changes including managing impacted molding SKU in and SKU outs (Over 500 flooring SKUs)
- Work closely with The Home Depot flooring vendors to get new flooring item set up info and request cartons of sample material for matching (12+ vendors)
- Cultivates close working relationships with The Home Depot merchandising, inventory, MET, and support teams to execute Mohawk’s sales plan and strategies
- Recommends product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from programs
- Supports creation of presentation tools and is the face of Performance Accessories moldings to the customer
- Maintain and analyze market trends, as well as the competitive environment to identify opportunities and build overall customer strategy
- Closely monitor key retail performance metrics, and assure all programs/strategies are meeting/exceeding customer and corporate expectations
- Manage store related issues/requests and communicate/resolve escalated consumer complaints effectively
- Maintain a comprehensive analysis of wood, laminate and vinyl programs at The Home Depot along with key competitors for comparison and benchmarking
- Provides input on planning forecast, budgets, and expenses
- Responsible for various accessory focused trainings at The Home Depot such as MET, Pro, Store Managers’ Meeting, etc;
- Manages business expenses in accordance with corporate guidelines
- Periodic travel to research marketplace, attend The Home Depot events and collaborate with internal teams as needed
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
- 2 to 4 year’s sales experience with focus on Home Center Channel
- Experience in the flooring industry
- Project management experience

Up to 50% domestic travel via land and/or air. May be required to lift and move up to 100lbs without lifting aids. Vision requirements are comparable to that which is required to maintain a valid driver’s license. 100% body movement is required to successfully perform the job, such as standing, reaching, climbing, use of all major limbs, etc.
