The National Account Manager – Home Depot works closely with the Director of Sales to develop, manage, and support sales activities for Mohawk Wood Products at Home Depot. The primary objective is to execute strategies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume and profitability for Mohawk Wood Products. 




  • Provides support to the Director of National Accounts to achieve annual and long-term sales goals and objectives
  • Cultivates close working relationships with The Home Depot merchandising, inventory, MET, and support teams to execute Mohawk Wood Products’ sales plan and strategies
  • Takes on a leadership role in direct account management in the absence of the Director of National Accounts
  • Engages in implementation of strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals, including sales, margins, and profitability
  • Supports creation of presentation tools and assists in customer meetings as necessary
  • Maintain and analyze market trends, as well as, the competitive environment to identify opportunities and build overall customer strategy
  • Closely monitor key retail performance metrics, and assure all programs/strategies are meeting/exceeding customer and corporate expectations
  • Manage store related issues/requests and communicate/resolve escalated consumer complaints effectively
  • Maintain a comprehensive analysis of Wood and Laminate programs at The Home Depot along with key competitors for comparison and benchmarking
  • Work closely with internal teams to manage program execution including product launches/updates and any/all other requests made by The Home Depot
  • Provides input on planning forecast, budgets, and expenses
  • Manage the new item setup process to execute efficiently to meet timelines
  • Measures and controls organization expenditures to confirm to budgetary requirements
  • Periodic travel to research marketplace, attend Home Depot events and collaborate with internal teams as needed




  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
  • 3 to 5 year’s sales experience with focus on Home Center Channel
  • Experience in the flooring industry, particularly laminate and wood, a plus




  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
