What we need:

The Sr R&D Lab Technician is an entry-level contributor that works to provide support on the extrusion pilot plant. This role will be responsible for executing fiber development experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and collaborating with the R&D team to achieve project objectives.

What you’ll do:

• Perform a variety of established lab tests, including performs quality control tests of raw materials, stains, and stain mixes.
• Inspect product samples to ensure quality standards are met.
• Lead control tests.
• Document inspection results.
• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Drive a lift truck to receive and transfer raw materials.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Ensure proper working conditions of equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
• Keep area safe, clean, and organized.
• Lead and/or train R&D Lab Technicians.
• Performs other duties as needed.

What you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to set up, run and/or interpret results from a wide variety of laboratory test equipment.

• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
