Global Procurement Project Manager – Ceramic f/d)
The position:
We are an industrial multinational player leader in our industry. To support the growth of our international procurement team in the Center of Excellence based in Root (Lucerne), we are currently looking for a Procurement Project Manager with strong technical expertise in manufacturing Ceramic process as well as in Project Management.
The Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) is a relatively new strategic team that advises, influences, and enables outcomes supporting procurement strategy. It identifies and implements best practices and delivers data/analytical insights for key decisions across the enterprise.
As a Procurement Project Manager/Category Manager, you will bring curiosity, a data driven approach, procurement and ceramic expertise to implement best practices for procurement processes, methodologies, and models. You will conduct market research, drive sourcing events and support category and negotiation strategies.
You will interact strongly with the Global Ceramic team and support, coordinate projects in the Global Ceramic division of Mohawk (Marazzi Group, Dal-Tile US, Dal-Tile Mexico, Brazil, ...)
Main responsibilities:
· Lead, coordinate and support global procurement projects, including cost initiatives, market research, and complexity reduction in main ceramic categories (Materials, consumables, …) and beyond. Ability to manage projects in complex environments will be critical
· The category manager might be assigned to different other categories (Agile approach).
· Perform category analysis and leverage insights to drive cost optimization efforts.
· Support the local procurement teams
· Leverage deep procurement experience and a data driven approach to identify value creation opportunities.
· Identify sourcing opportunities and develop strategic sourcing plans.
· Manage sourcing events, including RFx material preparation, bid analysis, and overall event coordination.
· Conduct should-cost modeling, competitive benchmarking, and identify alternative materials.
· Execute supply market research and generate insights relevant to assigned categories and projects.
· Conduct risk management analysis, including market and supplier due diligence, certifications collection, and adherence to risk management processes.
· Ensure compliance with internal documentation and procurement processes.
· Be a key point of contact with the Marazzi group.
Requirements:
· Experience and expertise in Ceramic industries (or similar industries) with knowledge in process & manufacturing
· Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering, Supply chain, Procurement/Business or related fields
· 5+ years of work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or other relevant experience.
· Ability to effectively operate in a matrix driven organization, through collaboration and influencing.
· Proven experience in project management (PMO) in international environment and delivering procurement projects and categories (tender, complexity reduction, value engineering) in a complex organization
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights
· Drive for Results - Communicates persuasively to win support, minimizes or removes barriers that get in the way of achieving results, and leverages understanding of key business drivers to get results.
· “Do-er” mindset and support mindset
· Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
· Strong digital acumen and Excel skills, E-Sourcing experience is a plus
· Fluent spoken and written English, Italian & Spanish is a plus
· Regular Travels in the Head Quarter in Italy will be expected as well as in different divisions
