What we need:

Mohawk is seeking a Mechatronics Technician to provide high level automation integration, advanced troubleshooting and process optimization skills to various plant wide manufacturing and maintenance operations. The technician in this position will possess advanced electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills allowing for complete automation project implementation through PLC programming and integration, VFD and Motion Control integration, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical installations.

What you’ll do:

• Perform hands-on wiring, assembly, programming and documentation of projects and maintenance repairs
• Assist with manufacturing and systems process improvement projects
• Provide diagnosis and repair minimizing downtime, increasing utilization and efficiency
• Diagnose repair or replace damaged or broken wires/cables, printed circuit boards, modules, or sensors associated with malfunctioning electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors and motor controllers, lighting circuits and fixtures, temperature controllers, AC and DC drive motor controllers
• Diagnose repair or replace damaged pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components associated with malfunctioning processes such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, bearings, chains and sprockets
• Perform electrical, mechanical, PLC, and routine maintenance duties as required
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

What you have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction
• Technical certification required in a related discipline Siemens PCS 7 certification preferred
• 3+ years of mechanical/electrical background required
