What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Manager, Warehouse III to lead daily distribution activities at our Thomasville warehouse for 2nd and 3rd shifts. We are looking for a dynamic, people-focused leader who can develop positive relationships with employees, customers, salespeople and vendors.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the 2nd and 3rd shift operation, including:
  • Hiring and training employees to safely perform warehousing duties
  • Creating a schedule to effectively meet business needs
  • Promoting a safe and respectful work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies and standards
  • Assisting in loading freight or other operational tasks when necessary
• Oversee inventory control, adjustments and cycle count process
• Monitor metrics and report on variances to budget
• Provide technical advice and share best practices with other site managers, enhancing and advancing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Ensure all employees are treated in a fair, equitable and consistent manner

What you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of experience supervising employees and implementing cost-saving measures 
• Demonstrated knowledge of warehousing and logistics operations

• Communicating and negotiating effectively with internal and external partners in written, oral and interpersonal form 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and mentor employees
• Working collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team, with strong personal organization, poise and professionalism 
• Achieving results through team efforts, challenging established practices and drawing relevant conclusions 
• Ability and willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions to market and sell new ideas within the division

What else?

• This position will manage 2 direct reports and lead 60-65 indirect reports
• Occasional travel may be required
