What we need:

 

The Sr Cloud Data Engineer is a high performing contributor that is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Data & Analytics cloud and on-premises infrastructure applications and services. This role supports data and analytics applications   across platforms (on-premises and cloud), ensures system reliability and security, and drives automation and optimization efforts to support business needs.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Implements cloud Data & Analytics solutions using various data integration and reporting tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure data lake storage, DBT(data build tools), Spark Engine  and Power BI) integrated with GitHub and azure devops  workflows.
  • Provides architect oversite, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Reviews and approves architectural designs and implementations for application solutions focusing on operational efficiency, security and compliance.
  • Implements governance frameworks and best practices for architecture and design processes
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess architectural designs and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Develops and maintains documentation related to architectural standards, guidelines and governance processes
  • Perform problem assessment, resolution, and documentation of existing ETL packages, mapping, and workflows.
  • Implements Cloud data analytics solution utilizing on-prem and cloud data sources.
  • Supports cloud data and analytics architecture reviews and provides guidance on best practices for cloud adoption and optimization.
  • Works closely with international teams across time zones, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes cloud Data and Analytics applications for performance, cost, and security.
  • Stays current with emerging cloud data and analytics technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  • Collaborates with Analytics cloud architects and engineers to drive continuous improvement in cloud analytics architecture, automation, and management.
  • Performs high quality analysis reliably and consistently.
  • Finds ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.
  • Successfully leads after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

 

 

 

What you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Proven experience developing Enterprise Datawarehouse/BI Solution on Cloud platform like Azure, AWS or GCP. (Experience in Azure cloud platform is preferred).
  • Proven experience in data extraction from multiple sources and building data Lakehouse solution in cloud platform using integration tools and cloud data platform. (Experience in Azure Databricks and DBT as data transformation tool is preferred).
  • Work experience with SAP ERP systems will be a plus
  • Proven experience in working with repositories like Azure DevOps, Git Hub or Bitbucket and developing CI/CD data pipelines.
  • Proven experience in building data pipelines using Azure Data factory or equivalent technology. 
  • Proven experience in building real time data streaming and CDC architecture. 
  • Proven experience in implementing data governance tools like Databricks unity catalog and Azure Purview.
  • Proven experience working with analytics visualization tools e.g. tableau, Power BI and Looker etc. (Experience in Power BI is preferred)
  • Working knowledge of DevOps principles and agile methodologies preferred.
