Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

Issue parts, receive stock, observe minimum and maximum part order levels. Work with facility management, maintenance, and personnel to track, maintain and report material usage.

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

Issue parts, keypunch issue slips into computer
Receive stock - unpack, check against purchase order, then stock.
Receives, check, completes, and signs material issue slips of materials, parts, tools, cleaning, and other supplies as required to maintain documentation of inventories
Record items reaching order point
Assist fixers and maintenance crews in picking correct parts and parts book
Spot check catalog against bin for IBM number, part number, and location
Do physical and chemical inventory counts
Keep a check on slow moving parts to determine their usage.
New items must be put in the catalog, a label made, assigned a location, and keypunched in the computer.
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Lift Truck Certification preferred
Successful completion of all required on the job training
Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction

Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.

Operate in a team-based environment
