• Loads carpet into cutter frame from a-frame to guide bars to base of cutter, or through roller and nip rolls.
• Operates controls to advance carpet, take samples as needed, set cutter head for optimum speed as specified on sop specifications.
• Gathers scrap and puts into appropriate basket; adjust scrap between cuts. according to sop specifications.
• Monitors side scrap, adjust carpet as necessary, monitor cut quality.
• Clears jams under cutter, adjusts cutter controls as necessary.
• Hold cutter until previous color has cleared stacker area or inspection area of new cutter.
• Fills out appropriate paperwork.
• Follows other instructions as received from management.
• Follows all safety rules.
• Cleans area during and at the end of shift.
• Assist in operating a PIT as needed
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
