What We Need:  

To lead and support safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations within the Printer/Coater department by coordinating personnel, maintaining equipment performance, ensuring accurate inventory and production data, and driving continuous improvement to meet organizational goals. 

 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Ensures compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.  

  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on both the Printer and Coater equipment; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues or escalates as necessary.  

  • Supports and delivers training for team members on Printer and Coater operations.  

  • Maintains accurate and timely order reconciliation and inventory control within the Printer/Coater department.  

  • Directs and coordinates the activities of shift employees engaged in the production process; participates in employee selection, onboarding, and performance evaluations.  

  • Leads weekly SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) meetings and ensures all related documentation is current and accurate.  

  • Assigns, delegates, and monitors work schedules, tasks, and production sequences to meet operational goals.  

  • Collaborates with the department TTL to identify, plan, and execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.  

  • Reviews and analyzes production data, including charts, work orders, and schedules, to determine and meet production requirements.  

  • Utilizes systems such as Shop Floor Control, Locus, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to track operational data and prepare reports for management.  

  • Provides coverage for operators and team members as needed; ensures adequate staffing across shifts and proactively plans for known gaps.  

  • Recommends and implements methods to improve employee engagement, production efficiency, equipment performance, and product quality.  

  • Requests materials, supplies, and maintenance services as needed to support operations.  

  • Inspects materials, products, and equipment to identify defects, safety concerns, or malfunctions.  

  • Demonstrates equipment operation and standard work procedures; coordinates training for new employees by pairing them with experienced team members.  

  • Maintains required certifications and serves as an on-site first responder during assigned shifts.  

  • Monitors the work environment and enforces safety standards and housekeeping expectations.  

  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

 

 What You Have: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training. 

  • 1+ years of experience operating a forklift.

  • Strong mathematical skills, including a solid understanding of arithmetic and its practical applications.  

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage both individual responsibilities and team activities.  

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and to motivate, develop, and lead team members.  

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.  

  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with standard business and operational software. 

 

What Else? 

  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection. 

  • Other working conditions may include working 12-hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
