What we need:

The Sr Cloud Engineer is a high performing contributor that is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services. This role supports cloud operations across platforms, ensures system reliability and security, and drives automation and optimization efforts to support business needs.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Implements cloud infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) integrated with GitHub workflows.
  • Provides architect oversite, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Reviews and approves architectural designs and implementations for application solutions focusing on operational efficiency, security and compliance.
  • Implements governance frameworks and best practices for architecture and design processes
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess architectural designs and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Develops and maintains documentation related to architectural standards, guidelines and governance processes
  • Continuous improvement and implementation of GitHub environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
  • Supports cloud architecture reviews and provides guidance on best practices for cloud adoption and optimization.
  • Works closely with international teams across time zones, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
  • Stays current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  • Collaborates with cloud architects and engineers to drive continuous improvement in cloud architecture, automation, and management.
  • Performs high quality analysis reliably and consistently.
  • Finds ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.
  • Successfully leads after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, monitoring) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using GitHub and tools like Terraform or Bicep preferred.
  • Strong proficiency of cloud networking (VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, firewalls, DNS, load balancers) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps principles and agile methodologies preferred.
