Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

Sew rolls of carpet together for continuous production.

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

Operate sewing machine and knife and ensuring that they are sewn in correctly.
Run carpet in J-boxes making sure it is running in straight.
Watch J-boxes to ensure carpet is entering accumulator in proper position.
Watch for torn leader or seams and re-sew them to prevent tear outs.
Inspect carpet as it rolls into the machine to alert supervisor of defects.
Keep J-boxes and accumulator as full as possible at all times.
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management

Years of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

Must have or willing to obtain a valid lift truck license or complete lift truck certification

Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.

Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
