Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position. |
Sew rolls of carpet together for continuous production.
|
Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate. |
- Operate sewing machine and knife and ensuring that they are sewn in correctly.
- Run carpet in J-boxes making sure it is running in straight.
- Watch J-boxes to ensure carpet is entering accumulator in proper position.
- Watch for torn leader or seams and re-sew them to prevent tear outs.
- Inspect carpet as it rolls into the machine to alert supervisor of defects.
- Keep J-boxes and accumulator as full as possible at all times.
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follow all established standard operating procedures
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by management

- Must have or willing to obtain a valid lift truck license or complete lift truck certification
