What we need:
The SAP Basis Architect is a leading performer that manages and supports SAP BASIS functions across multiple SAP landscapes for Mohawk's diverse business units. This role is critical in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and support SAP BASIS operations across multiple SAP landscapes.
- Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, and configurations for SAP systems.
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to ensure optimal system efficiency.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP systems and coordinate with SAP support when necessary.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to safeguard SAP systems.
- Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide expertise in SAP technologies and stay updated with the latest SAP releases and best practices.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Support project teams in BASIS-related activities during SAP implementations and migrations.
- Interact with the business partners, IT stakeholders, and development teams.
- Document the functional flows and update the application documentation as needed.
- Participate in and may manage large, cross-functional projects or initiatives with strategic importance.
- Perform high-level critical thinking, detailed information gathering, and application of business knowledge.
- Collaborate with and may lead functional or cross-functional teams to generate solutions to complex problems.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP BASIS components, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with various SAP systems such as ECC, S/4HANA, EWM, Analytics, PI/PO, and others.
- Familiarity with SAP upgrades, migrations, and system refreshes.
- Understanding of database systems (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server) as they relate to SAP environments.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) in relation to SAP systems.
- SAP certification in BASIS administration is a plus.

- Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead.
- May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advise and direction to junior team members
- May require occasional travel to various company sites.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and support activities.
