What we need:

 

The R&D Engineer is an established performer that helps drive technological advancements and contribute to the success of innovative projects. This role will be responsible for conducting research, designing experiments, and developing new technologies or products.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Use scientific and engineering principles to develop new materials and products as well as create detailed design specifications to support R&D and manufacturing projects.
  • Conduct research to identify market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
  • Analyze data and scientific literature to inform the development process.
  • Conceive and develop new process technologies.
  • Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.
  • Collaborate with product managers and design teams to conceptualize new products or improvements to existing ones.
  • Design and fabricate prototypes.
  • Perform physical and analytical testing of laboratory prototypes using standard test equipment.
  • Conduct experiments to test prototypes and validate product performance.
  • Analyze test data and make design modifications based on results.
  • Help to transfer new products and technologies from laboratory prototypes to production scale.
  • Assist with process and technical support for R&D projects implemented in manufacturing.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

 

 

What you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.     
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.     
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control required.
  • Able to set up, run and/or interpret results from a wide variety of laboratory test equipment.
