General Job description:

Operate and troubleshoot CV line during start, normal operation, and shutdown. All tasks and duties are to be performed safely, while continuing to maximize performance measures of the equipment and process.

Job duties and responsibilities:

· Shift leader fill-in as needed.

· Understanding of tension control, pendulum adjustment, nip roll pressure, Miltec (UV system) and main panel selections (oven zones, coating zones, emboss and print).

· Tear management of holes, tears, and rips and how to countermeasure.

· Operate equipment and make machine/process adjustments for optimized production of CV products.

· Monitor key equipment parameters and record data as applicable. Process Operator will use key equipment parameters to adjust the process for optimized results.

· Continually inspect key product characteristics at designated frequencies to ensure A grade acceptability.

· Read, analyze, interpret, and react to application charts and graphs.

· Perform physical line walks at designated intervals to monitor/inspect for product quality, equipment reliability and general housekeeping.

· Assist with conducting trials in production processes.

· Assist with troubleshooting quality issue.

· Assist in developing and updating equipment operating procedures.

· Assist with line changeovers, seam splicing, and preventive care for optimized performance.

· Assist at end of the line as needed (inspector, wind up and packaging)

· Assist with inputting data on shift report, email, and white board on daily basis.

· Troubleshoot and or modify equipment systems related failures based on direction from supervisor and or engineering.

· Escalate unresolved failures past length of off quality.

· Actively participate in and contribute to leadership decision making on new product and equipment trials.

· Participate in continuous improvement teams.

· Train new personal as needed.

· Actively seek means to increase technical expertise and competency.

 

 

 


Essential Skills and Experience:

· High school diploma or higher preferred.

· At least 2-years of coating line experience in an industrial environment.

· Experienced in (continuous) production processes.

· Previous equipment operation and equipment troubleshooting experience required.

· Problem solves and work with sense of urgency.

· Able to operate powered industrial trucks.

· Must be able to understand the need for meetings goals and production requirement.

· Must be able to visualize defects in the product.

· Must be able to visualize color defects in the product.

· Strong team player (hands on).

· Sense for discipline, order, and neatness.

· Willingness to learn new things and agility to work in scope.

· Commitment to company values.
