Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

To ensure plant machinery and equipment runs efficiently by minimizing down time

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

Be able to operate all equipment and machinery.
Perform maintenance on all equipment and machinery
Operate lift trucks and lift devices
Checking mechanics of lift truck
Grinding any materials with electric grinder
Keep machines cleaned
Keep machines with guards and covers in place
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
OSHA rules and regulations familiarity
Lock out/Tag out
LTO experience
Twister, Heatset operating experience preferred

Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.

Able to provide own tools
Proficient at troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical and other systems
Able to communicate with operators and management
Basic computer skills
Mechanically inclined

Able to push buggies full of yarn or tubes
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Constantly bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift
Work in an environment that is noisy, non-climate-controlled facilities, and high traffic production floor
