What we need:

 

Mohawk is looking for a Dye Weigher and Mixer in the Dalton, Ga area. You will be Responsible for weighing dye and mixing colors.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Weighs dye and mixes colors or formulas
  • Builds Tank Runs
  • Cleans tanks as needed
  • Checks viscosity on dyes.
  • Makes solution of colors to be used for adds.
  • Makes adds to colors.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

 

What you have:

 

  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a Dyeing department preferred, and/or equivalent combination of on the job training and work experience.
  • Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
  • Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
  • May be required to use PC and other department specific database systems.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

What else:

 

  • Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, stoop and kneel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds continuously throughout a 8-12 hour shift.
  • Close vision depth perception and color perception are required to perform this job.
  •  Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
