What we need:


Mohawk is looking for an Aviation Transportation Specialists who can help us win in the market by supporting and growing the Mohawk aircraft carpet business segment while managing existing major airline accounts. This position requires familiarity with the aviation carpet field as you rely on your experience, judgment, initiative and creativity to accomplish goals.



What you’ll do:


  • In consultation with members of the sales team and other internal clients, develop and implement sales strategies that increase sales revenue by securing new major international accounts and growing existing accounts.
  • Gather intelligence on market trends and competitive products to identify promotional opportunities.
  • Develop project plans and produce visual solutions for specific client needs within appropriate time and budget constraints.
  • Evaluate product performance and recommend changes to product development procedures based on market research and new trends.
  • Conduct market research to analyze competitors, determine brand perceptions, evaluate market penetration and understand customer needs. Identify and monitor changes in the industry that may affect sales.
  • Facilitate development of new custom carpet designs with airline customers and Mohawk Product Development teams.
  • Develop creative materials from conception to completion to ensure customer satisfaction and the highest quality standards.


What you have:


  • Four-year college degree in business, marketing or related field highly preferred. Some college required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales or advanced customer service.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.

  • Using excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively work with internal and external customers, both domestic and international.
  • Identifying, analyzing and resolving business issues using solution-oriented decisions, good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Working independently, setting priorities and handling multiple tasks with concentration, speed and accuracy to meet deadlines.
  • Working comfortably with all levels of management and people of different nationalities.
  • Managing projects from concept development to completion.
  • Conceptualizing a range of creative and imaginative solutions for projects and unfamiliar situations.  


What else?


  • This position requires traveling in the U.S. and internationally.
