What we need:
The Designer will be guided by Senior level Designers & Design leadership to create and develop high quality color & design work (custom & running line) across multiple resilient product platform types. Previous (work) experience in the field of graphic design is required. Positive interaction with established team members & other departments, being open to learning new skills and receiving criticism well will be required.
What you’ll do:
- Use artistic skills and design principles to develop exclusive visuals for desired resilient flooring products and prepare artwork for internal and external client approval
- Responsible for developing design and color, following instruction from management, from concept to completion in a timely manner, with minimal guidance
- Use Industry standard software such as photoshop or AVA to create technically accurate and aesthetically innovative designs for specific machine types
- Responsible for understanding and following manufacturing guidelines for product creation
- Knowledge of project management combined with solution-oriented, independent & detailed working methods
- Research flooring markets by participating in company supported research methods such as trend reports, subscription materials and research outings.
- Other duties as assigned
What you have:
- A Four-year college degree in a related field, preferably in product design or graphic design.
- Understanding of art design principles and concept of product development process.
- Knowledge of project management combined with solution-oriented, independent working methods
- Good knowledge of presentation software such as PowerPoint, Canva and alike is a must.
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) is desired (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign…)
- Technical knowledge of roto-gravure printing, digital printing, and homogenous flooring production processes strongly preferred
- Technical knowledge of digital color calibration and production color profiling with AVA preferred
- Technical knowledge of creating artwork separations for heterogeneous products using Photoshop and/or AVA preferred
- Demonstrated creative and artistic achievement with a minimum of 1–2-year job specific work experience preferred

- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively interact with team members, management, and other internal and external customers and to build positive interpersonal relationships with various business partners in a cross – functional environment.
- Consistent, proven ability to manage and implement projects and to contribute to concept development.
- Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize a range of creative and imaginative solutions with ease, using creativity skills to document and sell them to clients.
