Mohawk’s Talent Development Specialists are part of the reason that we have been recognized by Training Magazine as a member of their Top 100 list for the last 15 years.  By collaborating with our talent development, HR, and leadership team our Talent Development Specialists identify opportunities for development throughout the organization and assist with the design, development, coordination, administration, and maintenance of a variety of training and developmental tools, resources, and services.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Administer/lead training workshops, programs, and/or development interventions that are driven by the strategic performance needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership, as well as conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities across the organization to increase business performance and operational excellence.
  • Collect and analyze employee feedback and performance data to measure and identify both macro and micro trends and make program and intervention recommendations to increase team or individual performance.
  • Research and recommend cost-effective developmental solutions to meet the changing needs of internal customers.
  • Identify and select tools and resources, such as training materials and developmental technology.
  • Consult HR on processes and procedures related to organizational changes, helping them eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Manage assigned programs to ensure content is relevant and refreshed periodically, participation and engagement are monitored.

 

What you have:

 

  • Associate degree with 0-3+ years of experience in professional training and/or education.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in/with a complex matrixed organization, needs assessments, curriculum development, and management, training evaluation methods, etc. (preferred).
  • Knowledge of adult learning concepts and effective approaches for facilitating learning in-person as well as virtually.

  • Communicating and presenting information accurately and effectively with a diverse group of individuals in written, oral and interpersonal form.
  • Designing and delivering instructional learning, assessments, performance measurement tools; evaluating and improving curriculum and processes.
  • Honing your ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas based on culture, audience, and business needs.
  • Building strong working relationships and working collaboratively with strong personal organization, poise, and professionalism to achieve results through team efforts, challenging established practices, and drawing relevant conclusions.
  • Formulating action plans and timelines to ensure projects are completed to meet business needs.
  • Exercising independent judgment and demonstrating solid time management and organizational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules.
