Sustainability Certification Manager

What we need:

 

Mohawk is looking for a Sustainability Certification Manager who can do more with Mohawk and its multitude of brands.   

 

This position will be responsible for the collection and analysis of data that supports corporate sustainability strategies via third-party certifications. These certifications allow for strategies that will ultimately drive sales growth by influencing customer preference for Mohawk products.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Research, analyze, and support client-specific strategies that deal directly with sustainability certifications
  • Work closely with existing third-party certification programs and certifiers to help lead audits, review processes, and visit facilities to ensure conformity and company standards
  • Act as liaison between internal operations and external vendors regarding sustainability issues at the plant level
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop appropriate solutions for managing sustainability requests from internal groups
  • Provide support to the team(s) on projects such as Living Product certification, sustainability reports, the Take Back recycling program, and Sales Force
  • Develop and maintain system manuals for sustainability certification programs, as well as maintain databases related to materials
  • Assist with RFI and RFP responses related to sustainability  

 

 

What you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related technical field
  • Two to four years prior work experience in manufacturing, quality compliance, or sustainability
  • Familiarity with various sustainability certification programs and drivers
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to perform calculations and interpret and adapt known methods or operating concepts to certification programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other corporate software applications such as SAP, SQL, and AS400
