What we need:


Mohawk is looking for a Sr. Manager of Sustainability who can do more with Mohawk.

This position will support the VP of sustainability and the company in a strategic approach to the Global Corporate Social Responsibility /ESG structure, through partnerships with Senior Leadership, Product Development, Design, Sales, Marketing, PR, Operations and HR departments.


This position will be responsible for developing a coherent customer sustainability strategy through collaboration with key sales and segment leaders of the commercial business.


What you’ll do:


  • Support the VP in developing and implementing the global sustainability strategy and business goals enterprise wide.
  • Generate regular Sustainability Market Insights reports to capture competitive activities, sustainability trends, and tactical activities executed by Mohawk to inform internal stakeholders consistently and deliver value and provide VP of Sustainability with market insights and market intelligence related to sustainability trends.
  • Responsible for development of company-wide sustainability training
  • Partner with marketing leaders to develop sales education, training and collateral to further educate, inspire and build capability/confidence of the team to tell and sell on our sustainability advantages.
  • Partner with sales to complete customer sustainability requests and sales proposal components.
  • Responsible for preparing sustainability award and recognition submissions.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, business, environmental science, environmental management, marketing or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred or relevant experience
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, ISSP, GRI preferred
  • 8+ years sustainability or relevant industry experience required


What you’re good at:


  • Problem solving skills that include identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations in support of goals
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact, negotiate, exercise discretion, judgment and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external customers and executive management
  • Knowledge of multiple sustainability programs and building certifications, professional experience in multiple certifications
  • Understanding of building products and material health and social, environmental sustainability issues
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the work of collaborative partners and teams and to foster cooperative relationships within Mohawk, regulatory agencies, and federal, state and local government entities.
