What we need:
The Sr Freight Pricing Analyst, FNA role will report directly to the Director, Freight Pricing. Mohawk is a global leader in the Flooring industry and we’re searching for a data analyst to join our Pricing team to help Mohawk optimize margin and enhance revenue. The ideal candidate should be highly interested in all aspects of business and data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, you should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports for continued innovation and growth.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, evaluate, and implement pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics.
- Conduct research and perform competitive pricing analysis.
- Develop and present alternative solutions, summarize results and make recommendations to assist in managerial decision-making.
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Provide financial analysis for opportunities pertaining to logistics and sales operations. Model what-if scenarios for strategic planning in short- and long-term projects.
- Supports business plan and develops strategic long- and short- term business goals and objectives. Provide analysis on a variety of financial issues and business opportunities.
- Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
- Monitor the execution of pricing strategies to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze revenue and margin performance against targets.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics.
- 3+ years of experience in analytical field or role.
What you’re good at:
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to balance speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate business questions into data-driven answers.
- Financial Acumen, understanding financial metrics including: Net Change, Gross Margin, Gross Profit, Percentages, and Variances, totals, extensions and trends.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong Excel, SQL, and PowerBI skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools.
