Primary Objective: 


Ensure employees receive essential OSHA-required safety instructions for hazardous job environments. Coordinate and conduct all annual or recurring safety training. Schedule and present training in various multi-media formats. Maintain accurate employee training records. Implement and maintain safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Conduct plant audits and generate safety documentation and reports for internal and external use. Support corporate safety programs and maintain a safe workplace. Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
•Conduct accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
•Provide comprehensive training to new and existing warehouse employees, including cross-training for promotions or job transfers
•Deliver effective classroom and 1-on-1 instruction on job-specific processes and procedures
•Support operations in managing PIT certifications, recertifications, and job transfer requirements
•Conduct safety audits to identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors. Assist in preparing for Annual Safety Audit
•Collaborate with safety personnel across the company to ensure consistent application of safety policies and programs
•Review and update Job Safety Analysis documents to identify and mitigate work-related hazards
•Prepare and maintain safety-related reports and documents, including incident records and action item tracking
•Analyze safety statistics to identify trends and patterns
•Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
•Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
•Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
•Perform other tasks assigned by management
Type of Experience and Knowledge: Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.
•High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
•Successful completion of all required on the job training
•Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
•May be required to use department specific database systems
•0-2 years related work experience within the functional area
•Must acquire safety training and/or certificates as required by regulatory agencies and/or Company guidelines
•Working knowledge of OSHA safety disciplines, other regulatory guidelines, Company specific safety policies and procedures, and common industrial safety practices

•Present information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences
•Anticipate problem areas and implement effective solutions before problems occur
