Focus on improving strategic Sales & Operations Planning activities for Wood, Laminate Flooring/Moldings and Solid Wood business units.  The Wood Products S&OP Manager serves as the key conduit between Sales, Manufacturing and operations in terms of strategic asset planning for multiple manufacturing locations.



  • Manage the aggregation of demand plans for each respective business unit and produces monthly a two-year view of unconstrained demand in units
  • Work closely with supply planning to evaluate the demand/production plan against inventory, capacity and external factors and create mitigation actions if needed.
  • Manage and track performance metrics and analysis to identify both opportunities and potential issues within S&OP processes and reporting as well as those across departments; provide insights and recommendations to help improve results
  • Create synergies between the category processes and refine to ensure that all aspects are both value added and granular enough to drive strategic decisions
  • Coordinate and facilitate the monthly S&OP meetings to achieve consensus including strategic product, sales, and operations activities as well as supply plan balance and constraints/gaps
  • Facilitate closing gaps between the demand and supply plans.  Develop and recommend alternate solutions derived from analytics to present to senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • Identify significant business risks and escalate to the appropriate leadership teams
  • Ensure efficient communication across functional teams for any trends, drivers and takeaways in a clear and concise manner
  • Assist in the development of new tools that will assist in measurement, reporting and visibility to issues
  • Must be able to work independently while still functioning well in a team
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior management, peers and colleagues cross functionally and globally
  • Manage and adapt as needed the relevant supply chain related reports using Business Intelligence software for distribution to clients and key stakeholders
  • Builds relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the supply chain strategies support company goals while meeting customer expectations.



  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Planning, Sales, Product Management or Operational Analysis
  • Highly analytical:  critical-thinker; strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail; problem solver
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at many levels of the organization.
  • Strong data management skills, Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Ability to prioritize work, identifying potential delays and implementing solutions before they occur.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and have the ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.
  • Must have a high mathematical aptitude and basic understanding of statistical modeling
