Primary Objective: 

Operate a gas or electric powered lift truck for the purpose of transporting, loading, unloading or storing goods. This activity may take place in any warehouse area to include aisles, bin locations, storage areas and docked trailers. This position could receive general instructions from a Leadperson but reports directly to either a supervisor or a manager.

Major Function and Scope:

• Operate equipment in a safe manner as outlined in JSA
• Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment
• Wrap cuts using proper width wrap
• Place labels properly on cuts & tickets on restock
• Bag “Short Cuts / Totems”
• Handle Remnants
• Follow any duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Manually load/unload pad or other material not designed to be handled by forks or pole
• Must be receptive to all training related to the lift truck operator position or any cross training deemed necessary by supervision
• Any other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to lift 6’ “Short Cuts / Totems”
• Ability to operate Lewallyn Wrapper
   
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred.

• Must be an effective team member.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
• Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
