DESCRIPTION:

 

The Credit Analyst I position is a training-based role, working toward being able to autonomously maintain customer accounts, collections, and issue Credit for an assigned region after approximately one (1) year of training.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Train on Credit menus within the following systems- CAMS/AS400, SAP, and ON-DEMAND to be able to review customer accounts and check on prior orders

· Learn payment channels and their requirements (Credit cards, wires, ACH, Checks, Lockbox, Mohawknet and Xchange)

· Use guidelines and criteria to establish credit limits up to $35,000 for customers

· Learn how to review and discern information from Financial Statements, bank references, and CCI Credit Reports toward goal of being able to conduct Credit file maintenance daily and determine the credit worthiness of accounts.

· Complete payment and maintenance forms and understand their usage

· Learn trends for common account discrepancies. Reconcile, notify, and collect on delinquent accounts.

· Communicate with customer to resolve balances, communicate account status, resolve due date discrepancies, update information in database, and other routine items.

· Follow-up with customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts, and learn negotiation options.

· Work toward monitoring and maintaining an acceptable aged trial balance

· Actively support team members with less experience, and provide assistance to others as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

· High School Diploma or GED, and 2 years relevant work experience to include customer service, Banking industry, or other financial services related institution, or similarly situated customer-facing role.

· Basic knowledge of Credit and Collections terms, concepts, and practices is preferred.

· Basic knowledge of the Company’s products, services, organizational and functional structure is preferred.

· Basic computer skills related to email (Outlook), Microsoft Word and Excel, search functionality, and typing is required.

· Prior experience with CAMS/AS400 and SAP is preferred.

 

COMPETENCIES:

 

· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively communicate via phone and email with internal and external customers

· Able to clearly communicate and receive verbal and written instructions, polices, guidelines and processing standards

· Able to perform basic math calculations

· Collaborate with others to ask questions, seek guidance, and escalate as necessary

· Ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner, with meticulous attention to detail, and accuracy; and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
