Primary Objective: 

This position recruits qualified candidates for plant hourly manufacturing and hourly warehousing positions as well as coordinate job postings.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sort, review and assess received applications
  • Contact potential candidates
  • Conduct phone screens with internal/external candidates
  • Conducts face to face interviews prior to management
  • Rank most qualified candidates for further consideration
  • Review top candidates with hiring manager
  • Coach hiring managers on interview questions and refresh them on legal issues involved with interviewing.
  • Correspond with candidates not slated to be interviewed
  • Coordinate interview schedule with top candidates and hiring manager.
  • Conduct follow up reviews of candidates with hiring manager
  • Coordinate offer letter, background check, etc with HR office
  • Correspond with top candidates not selected for position.
  • Work with Admin/College Recruiter to determine colleges to target for relationships with Mohawk.
  • Work with managers to review skills needed for open positions:
  • Review job descriptions
  • Ensure that all candidates are in applicant/employee tracking system for EEO/AA tracking.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Other duties as needed.

 

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 3+ years in recruiting or staffing OR 6+ years and the combination of education and experience to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the job.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Bilingual/Spanish Speaking preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet. Experience in Lotus Notes a plus.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn employment laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret routine reports and correspondences.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, follow-up, meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • An outward and inward display of professional decorum, tact, and integrity
  • Occasional local travel may be required.
