What we need:
The Pricing Analyst is an established performer that is responsible for analyzing market trends, assessing pricing strategies, and providing recommendations to optimize pricing and profitability. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure pricing aligns with company objectives and market conditions.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to develop effective pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Sales teams to align pricing strategies with product positioning and market demand.
- Evaluate the impact of pricing changes on sales and profitability.
- Perform financial analysis to assess the profitability of products and services.
- Develop pricing models and scenarios to support decision-making.
- Analyze historical pricing data and trends to identify opportunities for price optimization.
- Implement approved pricing strategies and adjustments across products and services.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of pricing changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor the execution of pricing strategies to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze revenue and margin performance against targets.
- Identify and address pricing-related issues that impact revenue and margins.
- Provide recommendations to improve pricing structures and increase profitability.
- Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark pricing against competitors.
- Identify competitive advantages and areas for improvement in pricing strategies.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of competitor pricing information.
- Generate and distribute pricing reports and dashboards to provide insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of pricing strategies, changes, and decisions.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate pricing analysis and recommendations.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies.
- Provide pricing support and guidance to Sales teams during negotiations and customer engagements.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to develop and maintain pricing tools and systems.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
What you’re good at:
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
