What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Project Coordinator – IT Audit Analyst who can do more for all Mohawk Flooring North America brands across residential, distributor and builder multifamily divisions.

This role will work as a member of the Project Management Office supporting a variety of activities associated with Information Technology General Controls development and execution oversight. Provide guidance to IT control owners in assessing control effectiveness, control automation and control remediation where deficiencies may exist. Assist control owners in the development of control process documentation. Key role in acting as a liaison with Internal and External Auditors for control testing and compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.  Interact with Auditors concerning control test results to ensure proper communication and actions are taken to lessen the risk of control deficiencies. 

What you’ll do:

• Evaluate IT controls effectiveness and monitor owner remediation and improvement efforts.
• Assist with planning, training, and execution of IT General Controls execution along with Internal and External Audit testing
• Analyze existing control processes associated with change management, access controls, password configurations,
• Segregation of duties, etc. determining ways to consolidate, automate, streamline processes where applicable. 
• Provide education to IT owners ensuring all understand current audit processes and importance of proper and timely execution. 
• Conduct periodic audits of control tasks to ensure compliance and proactively address issues where identified. 
• Partner with Internal and External audit teams to define audit scope, timing, execution, and communication plans.
• Assist IT owners to address questions or issues identified by Auditors.
• Assist owners with evaluation of SOC1 reports and other artifacts for SaaS solutions.
• Develop reporting, dashboards and conduct periodic communication with CIO and Director level leadership

What you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline with an information technology focus preferred or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
• 3+ years of experience working in IT, Project Management and/or Audit related fields
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of software development life cycle, dynamics of software implementation projects, Information Technology practices and methods.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management.
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or Certified IT Audit certification is a plus.

• Excellent human resource management skills to effectively lead and direct a diverse work group; to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
• Ability to act as a managerial advisor on professional and technical issues with a view towards reaching strategic decisions; ability to manage conflicting demands for resources through negotiation.
• Consistently proven ability to manage/implement projects and contribute to concept development.
