What we need:


Mohawk is looking for a Marketing Events Manager who can do more with Mohawk. This position will be responsible for all facets of Commercial Marketing events.


The ideal candidate will partner with Senior Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, and other Sales and Marketing Management to develop events that support each segment/product marketing strategy and reflect the Mohawk Group brand.


What you’ll do:


  • Develop with cross-functional team annual tradeshow schedule and channel-specific Marketing event calendar.
  • Analyze and make recommendations to the creative team, and other members of the marketing team.
  • Drive collaboration with Sales & Marketing colleagues to share industry updates, promote best practices, focus on synergies and consistency, and foster a culture of innovation to highlight a client-centric approach.
  •  Manage major customer events, sales meetings, etc. as needed.
  • Partner with sales to complete customer sustainability requests and sales proposal components.
  • Responsible for on-time, on strategy, and on-budget event plan execution.


What you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Certified Meeting Planner preferred
  • 5 years of event planning experience with demonstrated professional growth and achievement in project management, time management, and organizational skills preferred
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Office Suite.
  • Intermediate math skills (budgeting and reporting).

  • Maintaining a focus on customer service while displaying exceptional interpersonal skills including professionalism, diplomacy, team orientation, respect for business protocol, and confidentiality
  • Out of the box thinking, utilizing resources, and generating effective solutions quickly while on-site at meetings/events or within the department
  • Formulating creative ideas and analyzing, evaluating, and negotiating details reflective of a successful event.
  • Conveying enthusiasm and listening with ability to extract client's needs and translate those needs to deliver successful results

  • Expect to travel when necessary for trade shows, customer visitation, etc.
