What we need:
This position will be responsible for the routing function within the Mohawk Logistics Operation. This role will have annual goals with deliverables to implement changes in the routing process, tools, and systems as needed to ensure that customer deliveries are executed on-time and as cost effectively as possible. The role will have direct supervisory responsibilities for a team of routing analysts that support that provides around the clock support to the transportation organization.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities involved in the transportation and distribution of goods, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders as well as managing the Logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Implement established supply chain strategies and plans and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Train, develop, and identify employee training and resource needs.
- Establish priorities and monitor the quality and quantity of work performed by the department and its individuals to reinforce proper procedures with the goal of maintaining and improving cost control, productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with distribution partners to enhance the efficiency of the supply chain.
- Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, balancing the need for product availability with cost considerations.
- Conduct regular inventory assessments and manage stock levels to meet demand.
- Work with peers and senior leadership to analyze situations and resolve issues within defined scope of work and support other functions as needed.
- Provide a safe work environment that meets the guidelines of the Company safety program while achieving the departmental safety goals.
- Ensure a high-quality standard of production and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 1-3 years of management experience.

- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
- Change management experience (software and technology) a plus.
- This employee will be responsible for direct reports.
- This employee will be regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment.
