What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Finance Manager to lead financial planning activities, focusing on the three financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and driving the vision for Mohawk’s digital transformation to a collaborative planning environment. This role will be pivotal to the 5-year strategic plan, the budgetary target-setting process, and the monthly/quarterly forecast cycle. The role will also work with senior leadership to develop executive reporting on market / economic drivers and prepare all-inclusive analyses showing company performance and future expectations.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the financial planning process, develop the future financial planning environment, and be accountable for all financial planning data streams. Work closely with senior leadership during the close process.
- Work collaboratively to create and implement processes and tools used for improved financial and strategic planning, annual budgets, and quarterly & monthly forecasts.
- Analyze competitors and market trends. Lead the team in generating strategic and tactical recommendations supporting business objectives. Lead the creation of financial models, conduct research, and analyze actual business unit performance against targets in the operating plans, strategic plans, forecasts, and sales incentive plans as applicable. Quantifies opportunities and risks and recommends alternatives. Conducts ad hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision-making.
- Ensure systems are consistent and integrated with the business practices they support and identify critical issues and weaknesses, provide solutions for improvement, and manage the implementation of system enhancements.
- Drive further enhancement in process and system to support overall financial planning, expanding with new functionality, collecting input from financial leadership, and working with our Information system partner to set up and further enhance planning tools.
- Ensures systems are consistent and integrated with the business practices they support. Identifies key issues and weaknesses, provides solutions for improvement and manages the implementation of system enhancements.
What you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration (master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred).
- SAP and/or Hyperion proficiency (preferred).
- 3+ years of progressively responsible financial planning and reporting experience, including at least 2 years finance/accounting leadership experience (previous management experience preferred).

- Strong computer literacy in Business Intelligence, Planning, and Reporting tools.
- Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals in written, oral and interpersonal form.
- Honing your ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas based on culture, audience, and business needs.
- Collecting and analyzing statistical and financial data for use in forecasting.
- Providing solid attention to detail and accuracy to daily tasks, as well as special projects.
- Exercising independent judgment and demonstrating solid time management and organizational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules.
