Primary Objective: 

 

Drive the future of how consumers shop the rapidly growing online Flooring category in this exciting role on Mohawk Flooring North America’s eCommerce team. This role is responsible for enabling a data informed culture to power a best in class category experience, through the creation of an analytics capability that looks at the customer & consumer experience end to end. This role will work to enable data driven marketing, media, and experience strategy in partnership with the Brand, B2B, B2B2C, and Analytics leads. You will help shape and execute data strategy, audience strategy, and measurement programs. This role is also responsible for optimizing capabilities with a focus on Reporting, Visualization, Web Analytics, Experimentation, and Emerging Analytics Technologies. The individual will be required to heavily cross-collaborate with Sales, Marketing/Brand, Digital, Creative, and Information Systems teams to drive success.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

 

Data Strategy

  • Partner with IS and eComm leads on overarching Data Strategy initiatives
  • Bring new approaches to data collection and measurement
  • Forward thinking approaches to open market place for data management and purchase
  • Understanding and ability to speak confidently about data management

 

Measurement

  • Recommend ongoing improvements to existing measurement strategies, frameworks and technology
  • Development of measurement strategy for eCommerce and supporting Director in the creation of a global measurement framework
  • Creation of benchmarks and targets based on historical data
  • Attribution analysis coordinating with IS team

 

Reporting & Optimization

  • Supporting eCommerce Analytics Director in the development and delivery of reporting
  • Supporting eCommerce team (b2b and brand.com) on uncovering optimization opportunities across experiences
  • Contributor to insights development and ensuring satisfaction and actionability of insights delivered
  • Accountable for quality of reporting and insights

 

Data & Technology

 

  • Ability to help streamline internal data management within reporting systems
  • Ability to help maintain and evaluate web analytics properties
  • Evaluate research/analytic vendors as need arises
  • Experience with CPG/B2B audience data (e.g., IRI, LinkedIn, Neilsen, etc.)
  • Understanding and ability to execute click-stream behavioral data tools (e.g., ComScore, Ads Data Hub)
  • Understanding and ability to work with location-based tools (e.g., Placed)
  • Ability to support and train team members to coordinate on data collection and QA

 

Experience & Skills Required: 

  • 4-5 years’ experience in media or digital marketing doing analytics work
  • Ability to tell a compelling story with data and to develop insights with limited data sets in a short amount of time
  • Well versed in web analytics platforms and limitations
  • Comfort managing large. complex, disperate data sets
  • Shaping brand measurement across the customer journey
  • Experimentation, test & learn methodology
  • Proven record of building and maintaining clear reporting using visualization tools like Tableau, Domo, etc
  • Excellent strategic thinker who is willing to take risks and challenge the status quo
  • FMCG/CPG eCommerce experience preferred
  • Creative problem solving is second nature
  • Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to multiple audiences and respond to questions
  • Familiarity with marketing mix modeling/econometric analysis
  • Experience developing Data Strategy and knowledge of 2nd and transparent 3rd party (non-DMP) data sources for the purposes of data partnerships, audience building, and insights generation
  • Experience in ad-serving and DMP tools preferred (DCM, Adobe, Neustar, etc.) a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with syndicated research sources/tools (GfK, MRI/Simmons, Nielsen, comScore) a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing Preferred
  • Ability to effectively direct, supervise, and manage a team of people
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
