Director Finance and Accounting

The Director of FP&A analyzes and presents financial information for management. This includes leading the annual strategic plan, the annual budget and building of acquisition scenario models.  Forecast liaison responsibility for all Flooring North America Business Units; compiling and analyzing business unit scorecards, bridges and completing executive summary for presentation to ELT and CEO; and developing monthly cash flow modeling data.  Requires advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Hyperion Financial Management System, Business Objects and other computer / database applications.



  • Lead and manage the annual strategic plan and budget, including budgets for all corporate departments
  • Build and maintain forecast models summarizing KPI’s from 5 primary business units
  • Compile monthly forecasting models and analyze for reasonableness and accuracy from 5 VP’s of finance to present to CFO
  • Compile monthly General Business Review for presentation to ELT and CEO including executive summary and key drivers of financial results
  • Complete monthly and quarterly forecasting models as required by Corp Finance team for Corp CFO analysis and SEC reporting
  • Complete budget vs Actual analysis monthly for HR, Finance and Accounting, Recruiting and other departments as required
  • Adjust and analyze Daily Business Sales Results (DBSR) by business unit, product and channel
  • Lead for Hyperion Financial Management
  • Lead for Business objects and SSAS Reporting
  • Perform other duties as required




  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.  MBA or CFA desirable. 
  • 3 -8 years experience in accounting, or finance. Emphasis on analysis preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of corporate finance principles helpful.
  • Knowledge of general ledger structures helpful with prior analysis experience
  • Hyperion Financial Management administration experience preferred
  • SAP GL research skills preferred
  • Business Objects and SSAS reporting experience preferred
  • Previous budgeting and reporting experience required
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead group situations as well as work on individual assignments
  • Strong PC systems proficiency with the ability to extract data using Excel, and other company systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
