What we need:
Hard Surface Brand Specialist (Mohawk Wood/Laminate/Ceramic collections) assists in the implementation of the business strategy and brand positioning as well as the tracking of all marketing initiatives for the business segment.
What you’ll do:
Specifically, the brand specialist is responsible for:
- Supporting the defined strategic direction for all brands of Mohawk Wood, Laminate and Ceramic.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of all marketing and merchandising materials for hard surface.
- Interfacing with internal customers (Aligned Programs Group, Portico, Home Centers, Buying Groups, etc) to help define the full scope and deliverables for hard surface projects at the onset.
- Managing project workflow: assist in development of schedules and track through various creative, marketing and sampling departments and customer base.
- Communicating project status to all marketing functions and internal customer base.
- Developing communication materials for marketing initiatives internally and externally.
- Helping develop training materials as needed for new initiatives.
- Maintaining current information on SFA and work with the web team to ensure current information is on all internal and external websites.
- Assisting in evaluation of total project upon completion to help develop measured results.
- Other needs as defined by the Brand Manager
What you have:
- Four-year college degree in business, marketing or related field preferred.
- Two-year degree and five plus years of job specific work experience combined with equivalent training/education to successfully perform the essential functions of the job required.
- Knowledge of marketing concepts and business operating procedures desired. Experience in planning, project management and reporting essential.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency level in the following areas: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, DIVER, SFA, business writing concepts and techniques.

- Ability to exercise good judgment, problem solving ability and resourcefulness in a team-based environment.
- Ability to lead and manage an internal project team.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, handle multiple tasks with concentration, speed, and accuracy to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and the ability to maintain corporate standards and professionalism.
- Ability to coordinate diverse support functions requiring exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
