What we need:
The Applications Architect is a leading performer who manages IT roadmap and integration projects and processes by leveraging creativity and comprehensive operational understanding to resolve a wide range of business issues. This role will contribute to the overall technology strategy and develop solutions that impact multiple departments or job areas.
What you’ll do:

- Partner with senior business and IT stakeholders to enable information systems capabilities to support our businesses, leveraging deep technical and business knowledge to design solutions to solve business and technical challenges.
- Provide a holistic view of the applications roadmap (including releases/enhancements/maintenance), technology risks and system health (and their potential impact on the business), and opportunities and challenges.
- Responsible for the production monitoring and peak season readiness activities for the business unit platforms.
- Collaborate with the enterprise architecture, application development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure production application deployments and any production activities are done without negative business impacts.
- Ensure extensibility, supportability, performance, and scalability of application platforms.
- Effectively perform code review for design patterns and performance considerations.
- Create Use Cases Diagrams using Microsoft Office Visio.
- Interact with the business partners, IT stakeholders, and development teams.
- Document the functional flows and update the application documentation.
- Participate in and may manage large, cross-functional projects or initiatives with strategic importance.
- Perform high-level critical thinking, detailed information gathering, and application of business knowledge.
- Collaborate with and may lead functional or cross-functional teams to generate solutions to complex problems.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Completed at least two large-scale ERP, eCommerce, or WMS implementations.
- Customization experience of application framework (modules, templates), providing fit/gap analysis.
- Object Oriented Programming expertise must be familiar with industry best practices.
- Knowledge of major databases including SQL, Oracle, DB2, and HANA.
- Expertise in integration methods such as ESB, web services (soap, JSON).
- Must have good knowledge of Design Patterns, Application Servers, Web Servers, Load Balancers, and Unix.

What else?

Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as a Project lead. May be required to act in a senior role, providing task-related advice and direction to junior team members.
