What we need:
This is an entry-level sales position that has primary responsibility for the assigned territory and accounts that reside within in. Inside Sales agents are required to make sales virtually through phone or email contacts without relying on face to face interaction, to meet standards related to business goals.
What you’ll do:
- Source sales opportunities through designated regions by making outbound cold calls, follow up calls and emails.
- Understand customer needs and requirements, including product knowledge to be able to inform and close the sale.
- Drive proactive communication and follow-up to cultivate ongoing relationships with account contacts.
- Ability to formulate open ended questions and close sales based on those responses, resulting in achieving team and personal sales metrics established by sales leadership.
- Research accounts, which includes reviewing sales history, locations, installers, identify key players, to strategize approach and goals
- Monitors territory performance against established objectives/guidelines and takes the appropriate action to improve performance
- Promote customer usage of Mohawk self-serve systems
- Provide customer service related support to ensure resolution of issues and request assistance from other departments as needed
- Assists in developing a territory coverage plan, which defines the type of support and frequency of customer contact required to meet sales goals.
What you have:
- Inside sales or previous sales-related experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated with a track record of achievement on company goals.
- Prior account management experience with a minimum of 20 direct contact points made daily.
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies and software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with preference for continued education through additional college level coursework related to Business, certifications, and workshops.

- Ability to formulate and ask intentional and open-ended questions, which reflect active listening skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Strong adherence to Mohawk Code of Conduct to include professionalism, ethics, and conflict of interest considerations.
- Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups, to achieve results through team efforts, and to persuade, market, and sell new ideas.
What else?
- Occasional travel will be required.
