Primary Objective:  In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

This position will be a dynamic, experienced salesperson responsible for building a new book of business and growing existing accounts in e-commerce. This role will serve as an advocate for Mohawk Home, American Rug Craftsmen and Karastan, implementing branding and marketing programming driven by consumer segmentation.

The position will establish deep relationships within the eTail ecosystem to drive sales in new accounts, while maximizing full account potential of existing accounts through process improvement, and deep dive SKU performance analysis to ensure proper product mix and assortment.

The role is responsible for serving as the point person for existing .Com accounts, as well as identifying, prospecting and winning new business.

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

  • Drive customer sales and consumer satisfaction/loyalty to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and margin objectives.
  • Establish strong rapport with all critical account stakeholders.
  • Create and manage up-to-date reporting for out-of-stock SKU analysis.
  • Sustain product and industry knowledge of emerging eCommerce processes and technology trends.
  • Proactively manage account sales, programming and campaigns
  • Identify new business opportunities, prospects, and other verticals; maintain opportunities list.
  • Onboard and lead SKU set up process and deep dive sales trending for key accounts.
  • Manage customer and partner-facing sales activities.
  • Maintain accurate forecast and opportunity status by account.
  • Create “quick win” opportunity reports for eCommerce recommended mix and assortment.
  • Establish systematic flags within AS400 to enforce MAP pricing violations.
  • Identify import assortment for eCommerce product diversification to include natural fibers, sourced kitchen mats
  • Nurture catalog eCommerce and home furnishings .Com prospects, giving preference to EDI capable customers.
  • Serve as Account Manager for for Amazon and Overstock.com
  • Identify opportunities to move slow moving inventory for daily sale and flash sale programming.
  • Track and create timestamp for brick and mortar .Com exclusives entering into eCommerce backing code.               


Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
  • Knowledge of the test and measurement industry. Advanced knowledge of AS400 systems, Microsoft Access and Excel are required.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Sales or Product Development role.
  • Proven ability to achieve and overachieve on sales targets and grow revenues year over year (YoY).
  • Experience resolving customer issues and escalating, when necessary.
  • High energy individual with excellent phone and email communication skills.

  • Demonstrated success managing an outside sales territory and achieving sales targets
  • Strong organizational planning and time management skills.
  • Exemplify a winning attitude, work well cross functionally with Product Development Forecasting, Demand Planning and eCommerce team members.
  • Respond quickly to partner leads, Web, Market/event and email-generated leads.
  • Coordinate with internal Order Fulfillment and Customer Service teams.
  • Maintain accurate forecast and opportunity status.
