Electro Mechanical Technician II

What We Need:    

Perform reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.  

What You’ll Do:   

• Service, repair, adjust, test machinery, equipment, and devices used in the manufacturing process. 

• Apply detailed knowledge of production equipment, processes, and operations to support troubleshooting and equipment performance. 

• Collaborate in the planning of preventive maintenance activities and execute assigned tasks with limited supervision. 

• Identify signs of potential equipment failure and recommend replacement parts or corrective actions to prevent downtime. 

• Monitor equipment performance and respond promptly to maintenance needs, often independently. 

• Utilize mechanical and electrical testing equipment, tools, and required paper or digital resources to complete assigned work. 

• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identify, recommend, and implement safety improvements. 

• Plan, implement, and document process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency. 

• Attend job-related training as required by management. 

• Follow all established standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

• Perform general housekeeping and workplace organization duties as required. 

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management. 

What You Have:  

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred. 

• Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; experience with automated production equipment is highly desirable. 

• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial components, including pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings, and similar equipment. 

What You’re Good At: 

• Working knowledge of industrial control systems. 

• Welding and fabrication skills for equipment repair and modification preferred. 

• Intermediate proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and computer-based maintenance and production systems. 

• Ability to troubleshoot and work with automated equipment, production systems, and manufacturing technologies. 

• Ability to read, interpret, and utilize mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation. 

• Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to maintenance technicians, machine operators, automation personnel, management, and plant leadership. 

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment. 

• Ability to coordinate and communicate with employees across multiple departments through radio, telephone, electronic communication, and in-person interactions. 

 What Else? 

• This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise from machinery, variable temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.  

• Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays. 

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
