Plant Operations Associate

What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a highly organized and proactive Plant Operations Associate to provide administrative and operational support that helps ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the operations. This role plays a key part in supporting employee programs, safety initiatives, training activities, vendor coordination, internal communications, and employee engagement efforts.
What you’ll do:
- Greet and assist visitors, following site check-in procedures and visitor protocols.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for employees, visitors, vendors, and customers.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain files and records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.
- Support New Hire Orientation by coordinating setup, preparing materials, and ensuring completion and proper filing of required documentation.
- Support with employee communications, announcements, and company-wide notices.
- Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies and company merchandise.
- Create purchase requisitions, process invoices, and assist with vendor administration as needed.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating internal meetings, training sessions, and facility-related activities.
- Assist with the uniform program, including ordering new uniforms, coordinating exchanges, and maintaining locker room organization and cleanliness.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing employee engagement, recognition, safety celebration, and team-building events, including ordering meals, coordinating logistics, setup, and distribution of materials.
- Assist with Safety training sessions by preparing materials and maintaining accurate training records.
- Maintain all required HR and Safety Postings, ensuring they remain current and compliant with company standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving business priorities.
What you have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of administrative, reception, or operations support experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred.

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to travel throughout the facility, including production areas, as needed.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toe shoes, high-visibility clothing, and other safety equipment as required.
